I'm a Program Officer at Coefficient Giving, building the Safety Framework Development and Implementation (SFDI) workstream. The focus is starting projects which encourage, improve, and provide services for safety and governance work at frontier AI companies.

My main internet presence is my blog on substackessays on AI, good reasoning, and the occasional meme.

I've worked on AI safety and augmenting human judgment since 2018 — at QURI, HASH, FAR.AI, and FLF. Earlier still, I built things at Googlebillion-dollar data pipelines for Google Fiber and Alameda Researchyes, that one — but well before the newsworthy events.
